Community guidelines
The community works because students and alumni help each other honestly. These few rules keep it that way.
Be helpful and honest
Answer from real experience, say when you're unsure, and don't present guesses as facts. Admissions decisions are high-stakes for the person asking.
Be respectful
No harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks. Disagree with ideas, not people. Profanity is filtered automatically.
No spam or self-promotion
Don't post ads, referral links, or consultancy pitches. Genuine resource recommendations are welcome when they answer the question.
Protect privacy
Never share anyone's personal details — yours or others' — in public threads. Use private messages for anything sensitive.
No cheating services
Asking for SOP feedback is great; buying or selling ghost-written essays, forged documents, or test fraud is not tolerated.
Report, don't retaliate
See something that breaks these rules? Use the report button on the thread — our moderators review every report. Repeated or serious violations can lead to content removal or account suspension under our terms.
